Authorized Software Table (ATdataAssetsXManagedSW)

The Authorized Software Table maintains a cross reference listing of all instances of the MSL software that have been authorized to either an asset, a person, or a group (of people), depending on how the MSL title has been set to be authorized.  It also maintains the license unit count required to cover each instance along with the current count of license unit(s) that has/have been allocated to that MSL instance on that hardware asset.

The Authorized Software Table maintains history records to show each time an MSL application instance is harvested.  When an MSL item is harvested, it is no longer authorized.  However, a record of the harvest event is maintained in the table.  If the same MSL item is subsequently authorized and harvested again, another record will be saved to keep track of the second harvest event.  This allows the ability to audit for users who may be "flipping" their authorizations.

The Authorized Software Table also maintains the date of the last time the MSL item was "seen" via autodiscovery.  An aging report on this date field allows the ability to audit for applications that are authorized but no longer appear to be installed or in use.  Such MSL items are candidates for auto-harvesting.

The Authorized Software Table maintains a record of any asset-to-asset MSL authorization transfers that take place.  Such transfers are generally performed by a technician.  The table also maintains the date the MSL item was approved (if the authorization came through the Software Request Portal), and the date the software item was scheduled for automated installation via the Application Push Scheduler or WDA.
