Application Push Scheduler (APS)

The MIE supports automated request, approval, and distribution of software as an integrated part of the overall software license management strategy.  In order to allow fast and easy delivery and installation of software once it is approved through the Software Request Portal, the MIE integrates with several popular automated software distribution packages via APS.

APS is the component responsible for interfacing with the remote system management solution to schedule the deployment of setup/removal packages in response to software requests that have been issued through the MIE Software Request Portal. The APS component also interfaces with the Workstation Data Assistant components to support native automated software distribution, in addition to supporting the following system management solutions:
 
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Altiris Client Management Suite and Notification Server (versions 6 and 7 only)
