Description |
Name for the question. Choose a name that is fairly indicative of the question as this is how the question will be displayed when selecting questions for a questionnaire. |
Question Type |
Type of question. The answer to a Specialist question is only expected to be known by a specialist in the target audience while the answer to a Generalist question is expected to be known by everyone. |
Display order |
Questions are displayed in interview ordered from lowest to highest display order. This is the default display order of the question, which can be over-ridden once the question has been placed on a questionnaire. |
Question number |
An identifying number used to identify the question. In the special case of linking VAT questions to interview questions, the question number MUST be the identical value of the VAT Question ID. |
Sub-number |
This is actually the number by which the question will be referred in the Interview screen. Choose an identification scheme that is unique for each question. |
Line of questioning |
This may be used to identify the question as belonging to a specific line of questioning. Typically this is entered as Primary (for the primary line of questioning). |
Intended audience |
As the original author of the question, this is the audience you had in mind when you designed the question. Subsequently, when you or someone else wishes to use the question, this value can be compared to the intended audience of the specific questionnaire to see if there is a match. |
Question |
The actual question. Format the question using the HTML editor as you would like to see it displayed in interview. |
Reason for asking |
This is the intended reason for asking, or any other instructions to be passed on to another interviewer who may choose to use this question. The reason for asking will display to the interviewer during the interview. Use the HTML editor to format the text to display as you would like it to display. |
Scoring instructions |
If the question is to be used in a maturity type of assessment, then enter instructions on how the answer to the question is to be weighted and scored. Use the HTML editor to format the text to display as you would like it to display. Scoring instructions are displayed to the interviewer while in interview. |
Notes |
General notes. |
Maximum points |
If the question is to be used in a maturity type of assessment, this is the maximum points that may be awarded to any answer. |
Validating questions |
If this question is designed to validate answers to other questions (by asking the question slightly differently in order to compare answers), then the questions for which this question is designed to validate answers are entered using the multi-select control. |
