In addition to the Workstation Data Assistant, the Software Request Portal can integrate with various Electronic Software Distribution packages.  The correct Application Push Scheduler module is required.

Depending on the settings in the MSL, the Software Request Portal will schedule a job to be automatically installed via Electronic Software Distribution immediately upon authorization.  Authorization occurs when an approval response is received by email from an approver (for those MSL items that have been marked as requiring approval) or upon completion of the request (for those MSL items that have been marked as not requiring approval).

The scheduled job will be run by the Application Push Scheduler after the next scheduled Consolidate completes.  Consolidate is generally scheduled to be run every hour on the hour.
