Software requests are updated with status values at various points within the approval cycle. The following status values are maintained with each software request:

Definition |
SUBMITTED |
Initial status when request entry is first created. |
ACTIVE |
Request has been successfully handed off to the work flow engine and a work flow thread has been created to handle the approval cycle. (Only applies to requests that have at least one item that requires approval). |
APPROVED |
Reply has been received as approved or the request did not require approval and was completed by the user. |
DENIED |
Reply has been received as denied. |
EXPIRED |
Request was not replied to before the expiration date. Once expired, any reply will be ignored (the request is essentially "dead" once it has been set to expired). |
