Ajusted Start/End Date

A license will only be migrated if it was purchased within a timeframe supported by the entitlement that enables migration.  For example, if a software maintenance contract was purchased in 2008, it will generally not apply to licenses that were purchased in 2006.  The MIE allows you to define how far back in time an owned entitlement will allow licenses to be migrated.  Licenses purchased prior to the cut-off date defined will not be eligible for migration.

The cut-off date is determined by the start and stop dates of the owned entitlement (its period of performance).  The start date is adjusted by the number of days grace set in the Entitlement Definition record.  The end date is the end date of the entitlement.  Licenses must have been purchased between the adjusted start date and the end date in order to be eligible for migration.

Example:

Owned entitlement is purchased on 1/1/2010 and runs through 12/31/2013.

Grace is defined as 90 days (set in the Entitlement Definition)

Only targeted licenses purchased between the dates of 10/3/2009 (90 days before the entitlement start) and 12/31/2013 will be migrated.
