Harvesting Equivalents

The MIE can be set to automatically harvest downbound equivalents from any given device.  Equivalent harvesting is usually used to harvest authorizations for previous versions where an authorization exists on a given device for the current version and one or more previous versions of the same title.  The authorization for the current version will remain and all previous versions will be harvested.

When more than one title in a family has been set to harvest downbound equivalents, the harvesting will take place starting with the highest family member first (newest version), proceeding to the lowest.  This will ensure that all previous versions will be harvested, leaving only the most recent version.

Harvesting will only take place for titles where the authorization is assigned to a device, and only for authorizations requiring 1 license unit for coverage.
