When a workflow has been assigned to a contract record to be fired when approaching the renewal date of the contract, the following variables will be populated in that workflow's thread:

Contract notification will default to 90 days before the listed end date. This default can be overridden with any value a user chooses in a contract setting labeled “Days prior to expiration to perform notification... The first contract notification will occur the number of days listed in this field before the contracts end date. After the first notification, the MIE will notify the proper authority every 30 days until the end of the contracts life.
