Workflows allow you to set up automated processes that include soliciting approvals, handling exceptions, and updating data values.
Workflows can be visualized as a standard process flow chart. Each point on the flow chart is considered a Process Point. A Process Point can either be a Process, Then Forward type, or a Process, Then Decision type. A Process, Then Forward type is equivalent to a step in a process flow, and a Process, Then Decision type is equivalent to a decision box in a process flow.
Workflows are comprised of several Process Points, connected in a flow diagram. In addition, each Process Point can be set to handle error conditions (up to 4).
Setting up a workflow is similar to programming.
Workflows can be accessed, given proper access level, by selecting Workflow Automation from the top tabs, then WORKFLOW from the black bar menu.
