Once an external feed has been loaded into the MIE, the audit is actually performed by the Audit Function.  The Audit Function is a work flow action (Perform Technician Audit) and is run by triggering a pre-defined work flow.  The work flow is triggered by the timed operation that performs the import of the external feed.

The timed operation causes the external feed to be imported on a timed basis.  After each import, the timed operation is set to fire a work flow that has been defined to perform the Audit Function.  The work flow is simple - it generally has two process points - one to perform the audit function and one to finish the work flow.

The Audit Function populates a reporting table, from which the Audit Reports can be retrieved.
