Attachments

A workflow thread may contain one or more attachments.  Attachments can be added to the thread when the workflow is created, or at any time during the life of the thread.  Attachments can be added programmatically or they can be added using the User Interface (when viewing threads).  Thread attachments can be sent via email when the email template has been set up appropriately.

Any workflow reply email (an email that the workflow sent where it is expecting a reply, such as an approval) that contains one or more attachments will have those attachments added to the thread attachments.  For example, if an approval email is sent (without attachments), and is expecting a simple text reply, if the reply is returned with one or more attachments, then all attachments found in the reply will be added to the workflow thread.
