Email Templates

Email templates are used to design emails that will be sent by the workflow engine.  Generally, a template contains one or more tags, which are filled in at the time the email is formed with information specific to the current piece of work.

Given proper access, email templates can be accessed via Workflow Automation.  Choose Workflow from the left menu bar, then Email Templates from the sub-menu.

In addition to supporting General tags, the email template also supports the workflow thread-specific variables V1-V8.

Email templates also support inserting placeholders for one or more questions.  Questions are used to form input zones in the email where the approver places answers.  Each answer provided by the approver is recorded when the reply is received.

 

NOTE:  There are validations in place for the Graphical Workflow designer that will prevent the following reserved tags from being used in an email template:

"FIELD"

"F"

"VALUE"

"V"

"DELIM"

"D"

"NOW"

"TODAY"

"VKEY"

"KEY"

"KEYVALUE"

 

NOTE:  If the email template requires the use of a reserved tag, then it must be entered using the UI..
