Portal Design

The MIE offers several configurable self-service portals.  This section defines how to configure the various portals based on users' specifications.  The MIE supports the following self-service portals:

Portal

Definition

Request Portal

Supports generic requests based on a Request Catalog.  Each item in the Request Catalog may have a questionnaire assigned in order to collect specific parameters from the requestor (parameters necessary to complete the request).  The portal allows configuring a multi-steps wizard and will allow up to 20 catalog items, each complete with questions and answers, to be requested per request.  The portal integrates with the MIE's credits/debits financial transaction system.

Software Request Portal (Gen II)

Supports software requests based on the Managed Software List.  The portal allows configuring a multi-steps wizard and will allow up to 20 MSL titles.  Additionally, the portal is aware of existing authorizations and entitlements, and will allow the requestor to exercise existing entitlements.  The portal integrates with the MIE's credits/debits financial transaction system.
