Designer Step 5 - Corresponding Export Job

CSV report type only

CSV report types actually use the MIE's Import/Export engine to produce the report.  Therefore, a corresponding export job must be defined to support the report.  The job name of the export job and the description of the report must match exactly.  The wizard takes care of making sure the job name and report descriptions stay in sync.

The following settings are available:

Job Name

This field is populated automatically by the MIE and is displayed for reference only.  It is set to read-only.  It is the name of the export job and must match the description of the report exactly.

File Name

The name of the file that the MIE will create when preparing this export.  This field may be left blank as the report engine will assign a filename based on the report that is being prepared and the user who is preparing the report.

Access

The access level required to run the export job.  Usually this matches the report's minimum required access level, although there are times when it is set higher (to cause the export job to not be visible to users who are accessing the import/export engine.  When an export is being prepared as a report, the access level of the report governs, so it is generally advisable to set the corresponding export job's access higher than the report's.

Field Delimiter

The delimiter to be used in the export job between each field.  The default is a comma.  This field accepts General Tags.

Text Delimiter

The delimiter that will be used to surround text columns.  The default is a double quote character.  This field accepts General Tags.  If you do not want text delimiters, enter the following: *NONE*

Changes are saved automatically when moving between wizard steps.
