Where are credentials stored?

All information necessary to access locally accessible databases, to include the server name, credentials, and the SQL statement itself is stored on the machine on which the client is running in an encrypted file.  This information is never transferred to, nor stored on, the MIE.

Because of this security consideration, if you move secure file transfer duties from one machine to another, you must either set up the database connections and SQL queries again, or you may copy the encrypted files from the old machine to the new.

All information used by the client is stored in a set of encrypted files that are stored in the esi\filex\data directory.  The files all have a ".bzd" extension.  The esi\filex\data directory may be found under appData (for Vista / Win7), or under Program Files (for XP and earlier).
