Workstation Data Assistant operations are controlled by several settings which are maintained on the MIE. Settings are available through the Home page of most options. Settings are available from the Home page of Asset Management. Click Settings/Admin on the left menu. The settings you see depend on your access level. You may or may not see all of the settings documented below.

The following settings are available for the Workstation Data Assistant (WDA):

agentInstall	Causes the WDA components (WDA Installer and Scheduler) to be installed on the client's workstation. -1 = install, 0 = do not install. This is performed by the ESI ActiveX component, which is run from a web page (usually a catch point page)
agentInstallerName	Name of the WDA Installer software item as it appears in the software catalog.
agentInstallerPath	Path to the WDA Installer executable on the client's workstation.
agentInstallerVersion	Version of the WDA Installer that should be installed on the client's workstation. Corresponds to version number in the software catalog.
agentReg1Key	If populated, the value at the registry key specified will be displayed in the 1st user-defined field on the WDA Console Computer Info tab. The registry key is specified as the full path to the value. For example: HKLM\Software\ESI\AssetNumber
agentReg1Title	The title that will be displayed for the value retrieved from the registry setting defined in agentReg1Key.
agentReg2Key	If populated, the value at the registry key specified will be displayed in the 2nd user-defined field on the WDA Console Computer Info tab.
agentReg2Title	The title that will be displayed for the value retrieved from the registry setting defined in agentReg2Key.
agentReg3Key	If populated, the value at the registry key specified will be displayed in the 3rd user-defined field on the WDA Console Computer Info tab.
agentReg3Title	The title that will be displayed for the value retrieved from the registry setting defined in agentReg3Key.
agentSchedulerPackageName	Name of package for installing the WDA Scheduler.
agentSchedulerPath	Path to the WDA Scheduler executable on the client's workstation.
agentSchedulerPollInterval	Interval, in seconds, for the WDA Scheduler to poll for new schedules for a client workstation from the MIE.
agentSchedulerVersion	Version number of WDA Scheduler package that should be installed on the client's workstation.
agentSchedulerTickInterval	Interval, in seconds, for the WDA Scheduler to perform its own internal housekeeping. The Scheduler's housekeeping includes checking to make sure the tray is still active and running, making sure tasks that are set to be running at all times are still running, and checking to see if other tasks need to be started.
usagePollingInterval	Applies to the WDA usage monitor task. Indicates the frequency at which the WDA usage monitor task collects data on program usage. This is a frequency specified in seconds.
usageUploadInterval	Applies to the WDA usage monitor task. Indicates the frequency at which the WDA usage monitor task sends collected data on program usage. This is a frequency specified in seconds.
