Comma Separated Value (.CSV)

This type of report is good for large volumes of data as it's creation is relatively fast.  It can be opened in Excel.

Excel Template

Some reports are written to an Excel spreadsheet using a template.  Excel is required to view these reports.

HTML

This type of report is formatted to be viewed in a browser.  Some reports are designed to be printed landscape and will warn you when printing.  HTML reports offer a printer friendly version.  HTML-type reports display each page formatted with a report header and footer.  The footer information comes from your company information record (company name, address, etc).  Because of the formatting, HTML-type reports can take some time to create and are not recommended for large volumes of information.

Chart/Graph (image)

This type of report is a summary level report shown as a chart or graph.  Pie charts, doughnut, and bar charts are supported.  Also, when this type of report is saved as a Favorite, it can then be placed on the Dashboard.  Chart/Graph types are also available in several different styles.
