Menu Items

The GW main window provides be the user with a full array of menu items.  Each menu item is enabled based on the current log in state and which objects are selected or have focus.

 

File

oNew – Open a new workflow.

oOpen – Open an existing workflow.  The open workflow window will be presented with the workflows available to the current user.  Availability is based on access level and whether a workflow is locked by another user.

oClose – Close a workflow.

oDelete – Delete a workflow.  This option is enabled when there is only one workflow open.

oSave – Save a workflow.

oSave All – Save all open and modified workflows.

oManage Threads - Option to manage workflow threads.  Only available when no workflows are open for editing.

oEmail Templates - Option to manage email templates.   Only available when no workflows are open for editing.

oEmail Questions - Option to manage email questions.   Only available when no workflows are open for editing.

oPrint Setup – Shows print options available in GW.  Most print settings are controlled by the values for your default printer.

Fit To Page – Check or Uncheck to format the print to one page or let it layout on as many pages as it may take.

oPrint – Print the selected workflow.

oPrint Preview – Pops up a print preview screen.

oLogin – Pops up a login form.

oLogout – Logs the current user out.

oExit – Closes down the GW program.

 

Edit

oUndo – Undo the most recent change.

oRedo – Redo the most recent undone change.

oCut – Cut the selected object(s) to the clipboard.

oCopy – Copy the selected object(s) to the clipboard.

oPaste – Paste the object(s) in the clipboard to a workflow

oDelete – Delete the selected object(s).

oSelect All – Select all of the objects on the current workflow.

 

View

oZoom In – Zoom in on current workflow.

oZoom Out – Zoom out on the current workflow.

oZoom Normal – Set the zoom to 100%

oZoom To Fit – Zoom to a level that shows all of the workflow objects.

oOverview – Opens an overview window that allows the user to pan the view to selected regions of the current workflow.

oShow All Ports – Select this option to display all ports on the custom nodes.

oHide Unused Ports – Select this option to hide any ports that are not currently linked on the custom nodes.  This is strictly to make the workflow less cluttered when viewing or printing it.

oRefresh - Select this option to clear any property dropdown lists that had been cached.  This option will not clear the list for any open property windows.  This will allow you to see new email templates, for instance, that you created using the MIE's user interface after you started your GW session.

 

Insert

oProcess, then Forward – Insert a Process, then Forward node in the current workflow.

oProcess, then Decision –  Insert a Process, then Decision node in the current workflow

oStart Node –  Insert a Start node in the current workflow.  Each workflow is restricted to one start node.

oEnd Node –  Insert an End node in the current workflow.  Each workflow is restricted to one end node.

 

Format

oAlign Left Sides – Aligns the left sides of the selected objects.

oAlign Vertically - Aligns the selected objects vertically (moves objects left or right to make the alignment).

oAlign Right Sides – Aligns the right sides of the selected objects.

oAlign Tops – Aligns the top sides of the selected objects.

oAlign Horizontally – Aligns the selected objects horizontally (moves the objects up or down to make the alignment).

oAlign Bottoms – Aligns the bottom sides of the selected objects.

 

Window

oCascade – Arranges the workflow windows slightly offset in a stair step like configuration.

oTile Horizontally – Arranges the workflow windows stacked on top of each other.

oTile Vertically – Arranges the workflow windows lined up side by side.

oClose All Documents – Closes all of the open workflows.

o<an entry for each open workflow> – A menu item is added here for each open workflow.  These items are used for navigation to windows.  The current workflow will have a check mark next to it.  Items with an ‘*’ to the right have had changes that have not been saved.

 

Help

oContents – This option will open the MIE help in the user's default browser.

oAbout – Presents a box listing GW information.
