Contacts may be organized into Groups.  The primary purpose for organizing into groups is to allow the mass emailing of several contacts with one email setting, such as is done through workflow.

Groups can be accessed by choosing the appropriate menu item for Contacts (depending on module), then clicking Groups from the left menu.
