The MIE maintains one universal list of contacts, or people, that is shared by the various modules.  Because people play different roles in each module, the function that controls the people data may be named differently from module to module.  For example, the list is referred to as Assignees by Asset Management, Sponsors by Change Management, and Contacts by Remote Data Management.

The list is used to maintain various attributes about people, such as title, phone numbers, and email address.
