Data Integrity Testing

The MIE provides for setting up specific integrity tests, and then running those tests on demand on either staged or active data.

Data integrity testing is primarily connected with the MIE's ability to manage physical inventories.  Various inventory sites are set up, along with one or more integrity tests.  Then, as the sites are inventoried, the on-site resources can perform the integrity tests on the data being collected to ensure the data is clean before leaving the site.

However, the integrity tester supports running the tests against the main repository, allowing it to be used to test overall integrity on a periodic basis.

To test against the main repository, start by setting up a pseudo site via the Inventory Sites left menu option.  The site can be something like "*Production Data".  (Note, you must have sufficient access to see the Inventory Sites menu option.)

Then, create a test profile using the Test Settings fly-out menu (flies out from the Inventory Sites left menu option).

To run the test, choose the Perform Test fly-out menu (flies out from the Inventory Sites left menu option.)  Choose the site you set up in the first step and click Go.
