Data Entry Forms

Data Entry Forms allow the entry of a record of information to be opened to users who do not otherwise have an account on the MIE, or to allow a record of information to be submitted to a workflow before it is committed.  Examples of where a Data Entry Form may be used include allowing external users to log issues or requests.  Such users may interact with Catch Point screens and encounter issues that they wish to document.  A Data Entry Form allows that same group of external users to be able to enter a record.

Data Entry Forms can be accessed, given proper access level, by first selecting Workflow Automation from the top tabs, then selecting Workflow from the left menu bar, then selecting Data Entry Forms from the sub-menu.

Note: Setting up a Data Entry Form requires working knowledge of the internal form-level control data of the MIE.  This capability is normally reserved for MIE programmers and is not generally intended for administrators.  However, once a form has been set up, the HTML that is used to present the data fields for edit may be changed by any person experienced in editing HTML.
