The IMAC Software Staging table is a companion to the IMAC staging table.  If presented, it contains raw software information that was found on the asset when last scanned.  It is related to the IMAC Staging table via the iStageNo column.

When raw software information is presented to the MIE, as the software is stored in the software staging table, it is first matched to see if any MSL items are present.  If so, each MSL item is checked to see if it is already in the Authorized Software table for that asset.  If so, the date of last scan is updated.  If not, a rogue software record is logged to the Harvested Software table, and a new record is added to the Authorized Software table.
