The view is accessed directly from the MIE's SQL server.  You will need TCP port 1433 open on any firewall that exists between you and the internet.

There are several ways to access the view.  You may access it programmatically through any number of programming languages.  You may also use a database program, such as Access.  Linking to the View using Access is described within this manual.
