Definition

Submitted

The job has been submitted to the queue for processing but has not yet been picked up by the processing engine.

Processing

The job has been picked up by the processing engine and is currently being processed.  During this time, the processing engine will update the Message.  Refreshing the browser will cause the message to be refreshed.  Jobs in the Processing status can be monitored for activity by periodically refreshing the browser.

Completed

The processing engine will mark a job as completed after the job has finished.  An entry will be made in the job log for each completed job.

Notified

The MIE will periodically check the job queue for jobs that have been marked as completed.  A notification email, containing the information that is also written to the job log.will be sent to the job's owner.  The job's owner is the user that originally submitted the job for processing.  For timed operations, it is the user that originally set up the timed operations entry.
