Snapshots

Counters can be set for automated snapshots.  A snapshot is taken on the first run of housekeeping in each new month.  All counters are evaluated first, and then a snapshot is taken.

Snapshots allow for the trending of chosen counters - especially counters that are being used as Key Performance Indicators or other audit functions.

As soon as a counter is chosen for snapshots, it will have an initial snapshot taken on the very next run of Housekeeping.  Be aware that for trending purposes, the very first data point of any given counter will likely not be on an even boundary (on the same date as the rest of the counters).  For trending purposes, this may skew the trend resulting from the very first two reporting periods.
