Settings

Asset custodian is assessed and managed by Housekeeping.  The settings that control assignment of asset custodian are found within the Catch Point settings, for the catch point that controls how auto-discovered data is consolidated.

Setting

Definition

Assign last login as asset custodian if this catch point has sourced at least this many times (N)

In order to qualify for assigning an asset custodian, the auto-discovery source must have reported on this asset at least N times.  For example, if this is set to 10, then asset custodian assignment will not be considered until the auto-discovery source has reported on this asset 10 times.

Assign last login as asset custodian if same login ID has been sourced at least this many times of the last N.

The asset custodian will be set to the login ID that has repeatedly been reported this many times of the last N.  For example, if this is set to 7 and the minimum is set to 10, then if at least 7 of the last 10 times the same login ID has been reported by auto-discovery, then that login ID will be set as the asset custodian.

Only consider records no older than this (in days) when assigning asset custodian

When determining if the minimum of N times reported by auto-discovery has been satisfied, the MIE will only consider records as far back as this many days ago.  This ensures current history is used in determining asset custodian.

NOTE:  If any of these settings are not met, if there is currently an asset custodian recorded, that custodian information will be blanked.  A custodian will only be assigned if all settings have been met.
