Setting up the script

Start by bringing up the client screen by clicking on the Secure File Transfer icon in the system tray.

Choose the Scripts menu option.

Choose the transfer to which you wish to add a script from the description drop-down on the left.  (Note, you must have defined one or more transfers using the MIE and those transfers must be currently marked as Active, the client must have downloaded its schedule recently, and the machine on which you are working must have connectivity to the MIE during this operation)

The read-only fields on the left will populate with information about the schedule and any last attempted transfers from the MIE (if any).

Fill in the right side of the screen by entering the script in the text box provided.

Optionally, you may choose to use one of the pre-defined scripts (if available) by first checking the Use a pre-defined script box.  Once checked, the text box for populating your own script will be disabled and you will be able to choose from a list of pre-defined scripts (if any are available).

Check the box Run this command line script before attempting transfer to enable the use of the script.  The script will not be enabled until you check this box.

Click Update to save any changes.

Note:  When writing a script, it is a good idea to make use of the {%V2%} parameter.  {%V2%} is filled in with the path and filename of the file to be transferred.
