The Workstation Data Assistant can be used to notify an individual workstation, or group of workstations. The notification can be informational only, or it may contain an active link to a web site to which the user is to be directed to take further action. Notifications use the Workstation Data Assistant tray application, which is a simple messenger component that displays as 
in the user's tray. When a message is received, the icon will flash and display a notification balloon directing the user's attention to the message.
