The MIE supports one or more security templates for each customer. A security template can vary for different user roles, organizations, or customers.
When a new user account is created, it can be created against a security template.
Security templates define, among other things, the following:
•Allowed to be blank
•Case sensitive
•Cannot be user ID
•Minimum length
•Minimum # of alpha characters
•Minimum # of upper case characters
•Minimum # of lower case characters
•Minimum # of numeric characters
•Minimum # of special characters
•Forced change frequency
•Advanced notice given before password expiration
•Number of past passwords that cannot be used
•Number of grace logins prior to account being locked
•Months from account creation to expiration
•Default access level
•Default MIE module
•User allowed to add records
•User allowed to delete records
•User allowed to change password
•User forced to change password at next login
You can define text that will display each time the user logs in.
