Asset Management systems all suffer from the common issue of multiple spellings existing for the same product.  The MIE offers the ability to quickly normalize the multiple spellings back into a single spelling using the user interface.  Normalizing products applies only to the Master Catalog form.

If you have sufficient access, you will see an Action of "Normalize" in the Actions area of the form.

Clicking on Normalize will cause the form to change to product normalization mode.

Once in product normalization mode, the form will stay in that mode until you click on Display Recs in the Actions area.
