Multi-tenancy

The MIE supports multi-tenancy.  This allows one instance to support multiple simultaneous clients.  Each customer's data is separated from and inaccessible to another's.

A hierarchical set of "Customers" can be designed.  This can be very useful in segregating data from multiple organizations such as separate companies or business units.  When logged into your current data, you may add new customers [privileges required].  The customers you add are part of your dataset and are visible to you.  When you have entered additional customers, you will then be presented the ability to change your working data, which will allow you to change from one customer to another.  The customers you can see are the ones you originally entered.

You can see customers you created, but they cannot see you.  This allows you to manage a list of current customers, with each one having access to their own data, but with none able to see data sets that are higher in the hierarchy or peer level.
